A number of units in Trent Wing have their own squadron bands. These include 866 (Immingham), 119 (Scunthorpe) and 2222 (Brigg). These bands play at events around their local areas such as summer fayres and school fetes and occasionally come together to form the Wing Band. Band members are the only cadets other than Cadet Warrant Officers who are allowed to wear full No1 uniforms.

Bands are open to all cadets. Not being able to play an instrument is no bar to joining - the older band members teach the newer ones. New members can learn the Bugle, Cornet, Tenor Drum, Snare Drum, Bass Drum or Bell Lyre. Existing musicians are obviously welcome and we have members who play the flute, saxaphone and clarinet.

Once a cadet has reached a certain standard of ability, they are awarded the relevant badge to wear on their brassard (see below).
