CAMPS

Trent Wing Cadets get regular opportunities to visit RAF Stations for a week at a time. We call such visits "Camps" but you will probably not be in a tent. You will normally be part of a group of up to 60 cadets from squadrons all over Trent Wing.

During your week at camp, you will stay in the same accommodation that RAF people stay in, eat where they eat and get a good taste of what life in the RAF is all about. You will get the chance to go flying (possibly in different aircraft from the normal Tutor) and shooting and you will also do lots of other activities which vary from camp to camp. They might include things like karting, museum visits, work experience visits, initiative exercise, map reading exercises, swimming and sports. Our recent camps have included RAF Stafford, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Odiham, RAF Valley, RAF Linton On Ouse, RAF Boulmer, RAF Cosford and RAF Brize Norton.

It is possible to go on overseas camps and exchanges. Trent Wing Cadets have visited places like Cyprus, Germany, Ghana, India and the USA.
