Trent Wing regularly support Charities and organisations by providing personnel to support their activities and events across the wing. These range from high profile events involving VIP's and Royalty to smaller more local events, the size and scale is not important, but promoting our organisation and building links into the communities is. An important part of our aims is to develop our young people in the area of citizenship and leadership, providing support and raising funds for charity helps us to do this. If you would like us to get involved in your activities please get in contact, details are below, providing it meets our criteria and insurance arrangements we will be happy to help.
To give you an idea of some of the activities and organisations we support, a few are mentioned below:
Royal Air Force Association
The cadets help every year with the RAFA Wings Appeal by taking part in street collections on or around Battle of Britain Day. The funds raised are used to improve the lives of ex-RAF people of all ages.
Royal British Legion
The cadets also help every year with the street collection for the Poppy Appeal on or around Remembrance Day in November each year.
British Heart Foundation
The cadets have assisted with a number of BHF fund raising activities by acting as marshal's for fun runs, bike rides etc.
Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund
Cadets from Trent Wing support the RAFBF by direct fundraising at events and providing manpower support for their AirField Anarchy Endurance Races, held Annually in the Wings area of responsibility.
Whilst the Royal Air Force pays for a lot of our activities and equipment, there is a continuing need to raise funds for those things that the RAF does not pay for.
If you would like to make a contribution to Trent Wing ATC, please contact Squadron Leader Charles Skiera by E-mail with some details of your plans on email@example.com
