Across Trent Wing, we are privileged to have a highly dedicated team of volunteers, who work hard to deliver exciting opportunities for our Cadets at 27 Squadrons within the wings locality.
As well as this, a hard working team support our Squadrons at a Wing Staff level and as part of Volunteers week we want to highlight some of our hardworking Wing Staff Officer Team.
Sqn Ldr Phil Prudham - Trent Wing Adventure Training Officer
Sqn Ldr Prudham's role involves him providing technical guidance to Squadron Commanders on all adventure training activities as well as assuring that all activities taking place are in accordance with all Air Cadet Adventure Training Instructions, National Governing Body (NGB) Regulations as well as any other relevant RAFAC Policies and regulations.
This ensures that any of our high risk to life activities are being conducted safely with as low as reasonably possible risk.

Sqn Ldr Gill Wills - Trent Wing First Aid and DofE Officer
Sqn Ldr Wills has a varied role supporting units with both First Aid and the Duke of Edinburgh award. With DofE work, Sqn Ldr Wills works has to recruit new DofE Volunteers to become leaders and assessors to enable DofE to be conducted at Squadron level, as well as this she is responsible for authorising all Bronze level awards within the Wing and on top of this supports Central and East Region in authorising Silver level awards. Sqn Ldr Wills also organises and runs Wing level expeditions to support those units who cannot run their own expeditions.
In the First Aid world, Sqn Ldr Wills authorises any Squadron level courses that may run as well as sorting post-course admin including course certificates and badges. As well as this, she organises wing-led Activity First Aid and Cat-Bleed Courses to promote CFAV Mandatory Training. She also supports Central and East Region in running the Gold Instructor First Aid Courses.

Flt Lt Rebecca Gaywood - Trent Wing Sports Officer
Flt Lt Gaywood is the Trent Wing Sports Officer, and her role involves the organisation and planning of the sporting events within the Wing where cadets have the opportunity to represent their squadrons and compete in a variety of sports.
She then manage the team of cadets who go on and represent Trent Wing at Regional competitions. As well as this, Flt Lt Gaywood delivers Sports Leadership courses for cadets to gain these qualifications. Most importantly she looks to promote and develop opportunities for cadets to take part in inclusive sporting activity across the Wing at all levels.
